Please welcome Dr Brintta Thavakumaran back from extended leave. She is now taking appointments on Tue/Wed and Fri.
This coming school holidays, we will be closed from 01 Oct 2024 untill 9th Oct 2024.
We have an important announcement to make. After 15 years of providing universal bulk-billing GP services, the service model is no longer sustainable. Our GPs have been subsidising patient's consultations on average $20-$40 per consultation over the last 15 years. Patient's Medicare rebates have been frozen over many years - failed to keep up with inflation.
We have commenced mixed billing service from 1st July 2024. Patients younger than 16 and those with commonwealth concession card will be bulk-billed. Others will be paying gap fees per AMA list of Fees. Some of you are frequent flyers - there is a choice of paying a set fee once and then be bulk-billed with subsequent consultations. Speak to our reception for details of this discount. Click here for the current notice about our new policy.
Thank you for some of you who are keen to pay in advance and ask for our payment options - our Pay ID is the same as our email address: malvern@outlook.com. If you can share your receipt via email the reception is very appreciative. Other options include EFTPOS, VISA or Master or Cash on site.
Specialist Paediatric services are available via appointments with a valid referral from your GP. Our paediatricians are generally available within 3-4 weeks. Please call 02 9836 3628 once you have a referral from your GP. You may email your referral to malvern@outlook.com.
Our GP after hour service providers are National Home Doctor Service or Sydney Medical Service -1300 HOME GP If you need a GP home visit during after hour period please call 13 74 25 or 02 87246300. Visits are generally bulk-billed. Alternatively you can call after hour GP Helpline on 1800 022 222.
